My name is Cledison Carlos Bassetti and I am 30 years old.
I am married for two yeas now with Leide Mara Anduazi Bassetti. I was born and raised in this municipality and have worked with coffee ever since I was young with my father. Our property is located at an altitude of 1060 to 1200 meters [above sea level]. Here the birds fly abundantly and the wild animal habitats are preserved.
We have three kinds of coffee varietals planted and they are Mundo Novo, Red Catuai, and Ubatã. In 2006 I participated in a course about agricultural methods and ever since I have learned the importance of sustainable family farm practices. I began to refrain from using herbicides in a large portion of the fields and tried to produce a quality and differentiated fruit. I have begun to preserve the environment so that animals and birds are not harmed and I have begun to preserve the natural springs, which are abundant here. I know I still have much to learn but I believe I am on the right path.
